Things That I Want . . . Part 7: I'll Bite Your Head Off!

Thanks to Pelayo Diaz and power houses like Lanvin, Dior Homme, Vivienne Westwood, Versace and of course, Givenchy, chunky necklaces for men is here to stay. Whether you like it or not. Most of the time, men's jewelry are kept minimum to a bracelet, a watch and/or a ring. But big statement pieces had been parading the runway as of late. Come to think of it, Men of royalty in the past had worn chunky neck pieces to show regality. Why can't we do it now?

Which brings me to the thing that I want the most right now, (besides a Mawi ring). The Givenchy antique brass teeth necklace. If you're a fan of Givenchy accessories, you'll probably know that for the last three collections, the necklaces had been great! Crown of thorns for fall/winter 2010-11, the vertebrae necklace spring/summer 2011, and now the teeth for fall/winter 2011-12. There are two kinds, one for men and the other for women. Comparing the two the women's necklace looks more elegant and made with pale gold but both are equally stunning. I like the men's version better because it's more menacing. But I just don't get that a high fashion online store is selling the women's variant under the men's accessories, le sigh, eventhough that both can be worn by either sex it is a little weird that as established as anything, we are still human and we will make mistakes.
