Once Upon A Time - Marlon Teixiera by Andrea Vecchiato

I am not entirely sure why this editorial was entitled Once Upon A Time (btw its a rhetorical question I do know why it has that title it just don't quite work for me that's all) but I do know that Marlon Teixiera was photographed by Andrea Vecchiato and the editorial appeared On WE Men. It seems like Marlon is everywhere this season. A campaign with Armani Exchange, Diesel fragrance, Not to mention the bazillion of editorial with his face on it. Not like I'm complaining or anything eventhough it sounds like I am. Alright we've been waiting for this and now the weekend is here! See you all on Monday.

Squall of A Good Time - Parker Gregory by Giampaolo Sgura

Click's Parker Gregory looked great in this editorial that appeared on Hercules. Photographed by one of my favorite photographers of our time, Giampaolo Sgura. styled by Miguel Arnau with pieces from Prada, Giorgio Armani, D&G, Calvin Klein, and Dsquared2 to name some. The editorial is entitled The Fisherman but really? If I own a Prada sweater I don't think I'm gonna wear it to go fishing but then again I ruined so many shoes by wearing it to dance clubs. I guess there's no difference to that. Regardless, Fashion is an Illusion and It's Friday, why not. Finish strong my fashionistos and fashionistas.

Trend Thursdays: Spice Up . . . Your Pants

Tommy Hilfiger S/S 2011
I have to be honest, the last time I wore chinos in a regular basis was back in college. and yes I believe they are pleated and was worn with my blue blazer jacket and striped ties ala Ivy League look for every first Monday of the month for our formal chapter meetings in my Fraternity. Probably one of the reasons or THE main reason that I hate khakis are those damn pleats. I also went to a Catholic private school from pre-school to my senior year in high school and we wore uniforms. It is safe to say that I am khaki'ed out. But the new breed of chinos are more slimmer fit, tapered and lower rise compared to the pleated loosely fitting ones that we got used to. Faded colored chinos marched the spring/summer shows last year. Nothing wrong with khakis but give your pants collection a spice of color. Pair them with a nicely pressed white oxford or a dark plaid shirt and fold them a bit to show some ankles. and oh yeah one last thing, no pleats, please. Again, A reminder you get 20% off your purchase of the Shipley & Halmos if you use my code: Mission20 at Tobi.com.

White Out - Rory Torrens by Juanjo Molina

This editorial appeared on Spanish Mag Man featured Elite Barcelona's Rory Torrens all decked out in white. Photographed by Juanjo Molina and styled by Vicente Soler with pieces from Dior Homme, Lacoste, and Boss Black. I know that Torrens was making umm faces but I liked how it kinda went with the laid back stylings. Happy Hump day everybody.

Poisonous - Oliver Sand Abrenica by Lope Navo

Like I always said mix Filipino with any race and we come out like . . . well us! (ahem). This is Oliver Sand Abrenica a Danish/Filipino model who debuted the runway at the men's Singapore fashion week a week or two ago. In this editorial that appeared on Philippine men's magazine, Garage, we find him blending or standing out in the wild or someone's backyard. The editorial was photographed by Lope Navo and sytled by Rey Ilagan with pieces from accessible names such as Topman and Zara and some great pieces from local Filipino designers, as well.

Runway Monday: My Back Beat is Sick - Givenchy Fall/Winter 2011

I always enjoy the Givenchy shows. It's never boring and always has something that makes me go, "I want that!" and for this collection, I want the fur backpack. The collection consist of pieces with pitbull prints, which I found somewhat refreshing. I think it is the way the print created texture. In a normal day, if I see a pitbull print sweater, I'll just chuckle and move on. The hats with the tiny ears are pretty cool. I love hats and the fur version is something I would totally wear. The glasses/spectacles are a nice touch as well. The knee to thigh lace ups are something for sure (for some reason it reminded me of Willow Smith's outfit where she wore a pants/shoe laceups- yikes!). The tailored pieces are nice and the fur embellishment gives a nice attitude to a just well-tailored pieces. Happy Monday my fashionistos and fashionistas!

My Time! - Rob Evans by Forte & Zachary

I've probably said that line a thousand times within my young life I have to blame that for being a Leo and loving the spotlight nevertheless, enough about me. Rob Evans took the modeling circuit by storm and he's one of the biggest name at the moment. The Major Agency model appeared on this editorial entitled Next Big Thing that appeared on Carbon Copy by Client magazine. Photographed by Forte & Zachary and styled by Torian Lewin with pieces from the collections of Comme des Garcon, Jeremy Scott, and H&M. Okay my Fashionistos and Fashionistas in San Francisco, in a couple hours I will be at a local fashion bloggers brunch at Andalu in the Mission. It will be nice to meet fellow fashion enthusiasts. Well everybody have a good weekend and Happy Easter as well.
