Summer Time Sadness - Lucas Garcez by Skye Tan

Labor day weekend, marks the last trickling days of summer in the US. Eventhough that Summer in San Francisco is just about to start. I mean I can always go abroad . . . somewhere and enjoy their gorgeous tropical weather for them. Say, Rio de Janeiro?

It's official I'm foregoing New York Fashion Week this season. I know I cried too. It will be the first time in two years! It's almost unnerving. Secretly, I might go because I really can't stay away from New York for too long. We'll see.

On other news, since one of my friends, instead of getting married, had called their relationship quits, frees up a chunk of my November, not counting my anniversary. So while out last night, some of my friends decided to fly down to Palm Springs in November. It's been a hot minute since I've been there.

Wow last day of August and into the -ber months. Alright, happy weekend my fashionistos and fashionistas. Enjoy it! I know I will.

In today's post, we have Lucas Garcez as he grazes the pages of the September issue of August Man. Skye Tan captures the handsome Garcez with this luxe villa along the coast as a backdrop. August Man's Ben Chin styles the editorial story with pieces by Emporio Armani, Paul Smith, Givenchy and Gucci to name a few.

Wake Me Up - Garrett Neff by Mitchell Nguyen McCormack

Last week felt intense for me. I was emotionally and physically tired from a busy work week and a stressful transition with one of my good friends. Sometimes I try to pull away from "Drama" since I don't like getting involved but if someone asked for support, of course, I'll be there for them. I felt bad ultimately but sometimes we wont realize how lost we have been till we were deep in the woods.

Speaking of woods, I went to my first "roughing it" camping trip over the weekend up north in Humboldt Redwoods National Park. The last time I did the outdoors I ended up staying at a Bed and Breakfast. Don't get me wrong I love hiking but not the sleeping on the ground part. But honestly, it wasn't that bad. Minus a few awkward moments it was such a great weekend among friends.

Today's editorial cover story appeared on the newest issue of Da Man magazine. It featured top male model Garrett Neff as photographed by Mitchell Nguyen McCormack. Joseph Turla had put together great fall pieces by luxury brands like Dsquared2, Tom Ford, Neil Barrett, and Christian Louboutin.

Take The Plunge - Brian Shimansky by Sergi Pons

Sometimes I feel like it's hard for me to talk about things that bothers me with my so-called friends but yet I find myself writing it out here, freely. Is it the anonymity? Perhaps or maybe it is the fact that I know I wont get a response or a rather biased perspective since I do like solving my own problems. I don't want to blame anybody for some idiotic suggestion WHICH makes me a much bigger idiot since I listened to it.

The biggest issue for the recent past is taking the plunge. Think it but don't dwell on it. Following my heart but not leaving my head. Well, Some huge changes are coming. It is time to close my eyes and take a leap of faith. Trust and Love.

We open the week with an editorial that appears on the Spanish magazine, El Pais Semanal. American model Brian Shimansky takes the plunge as captured by the talented Sergi Pons. Alberto Murtra styles Brian in  pieces by Pringle of Scotland, Gant, Emporio Armani and Louis Vuitton. Inguna Butane joins Shimansky in this playful editorial.

Socially Challenged - Eric Ramos & Nadav Heyman by Lacey

There's this "thing" that everybody should follow but most people do not. Social etiquette. Of course, I don't really expect everybody to be proper and all but I expect everybody to catch on social queues. I mean it's not that hard. A little bit of social skills and a dash of common sense. Viola! You are set. but I guess sometimes, even that is like reaching for the stars. I know, I know a perfect utopia is not San Francisco. I just have to tilt my head to the side and smile. Just smile.

Happy weekend my fashionistos and fashionistas.

We close off the week with a gravity defying editorial that appears on the September issue of Details magazine. The editorial features Eric Ramos and Nadav Heyman as photographed by Lacey. Eugene Tong styles the boys in cool, colored suitings by Dries Van Noten, Perry Ellis by Duckie Brown, Lanvin, and Prada to name a few.

My Way Or . . . - Adam Senn & Dmitriy Tanner by Jack Waterlot

I think sometimes people tend to think of me a certain way because of my profession, how I grew up, my education or how I dress. May that be in a negative or positive light. Most of the time I just shrug it off but sometimes a little tongue lashing is needed. Sometimes. I love proving people wrong and show them who's boss. Sure, I know I'm not the most good looking guy nor am I the smartest tool in the shed but I know what my mama gave me and I know how to use it. Call that confidence or aloof your choice. I call 'em advantages.

Bottom line, I make people see my way. More or less. (wink wink nudge nudge).

Happy Hump Day my fashionistos and fashionistas!

In today's editorial post we have top models, Adam Senn and Dmitriy Tanner as photographed by Jack Waterlot for the newest issue of Apollo Novo. Stylist, Andrew Holden puts together eclectic looks featuring  Fall/Winter pieces by Michael Bastian, Dries Van Noten, Michael Kors and Alexander McQueen to name a few.

Have You Ever Been To Heaven? - Marc Klinger, Tobias & Lukas Rafael by Lukas Wolejko-Wolejszo

I think it's interesting that as I grow older and life, more or less, gets more complicated. I have less time to relax and clear my mind. Truthfully, even if I'm on vacation I don't 100% check-out let alone when I get home from a busy work schedule. Weekends? Nope I stay busy being a social. But I think it's time, to make some room to de-stress and actually try meditating. Eventhough that retail therapy works all the time, I need a more relaxing time than dodging tourists in downtown. I really wish I can treat myself to a spa day and get a massage every week, like the Bubs. Alas, I have a real conventional job. Not that I'm discrediting the Bub's livelihood. The amount of time that a model spends at the gym? It's almost ridic, and most of these said models already lucked out with the gene pool lottery, anyway. Why bother doing two a day workouts? I guess I'll never know understand.

Well It's Monday, my fashionistos and fashionistas! Start the week fresh.

We open the week with an editorial that appears on the August issue of JMEN. It features models Marc Klinger, Tobias and Lukas Raffael as photographed by Lukas Wolejko-Wolejszo. Metin Misdik styles the boys with pieces from the collections by Z Zegna, Vivienne Westwood, Dolce & Gabbana and Dsquared2 to name a few. I'm loving that the looks remains modern eventhough that the feel of each look is a classic one.
