Shadow People - Diego Krauss & Tom Landy by Dimitris Theocharis

The way this editorial was shot and finished was just amazing. Dimitris Theocharis lensed the project entitiled Silver for the latest issue of the Schon Magazine. Outfitted by Masha Mombelli, Diego Krauss and Tom Landy wore pieces by Betty Jackson, Just Cavalli, Paul Smith, and a London show favorite of mine KTZ. You can check out the whole editorial by following the link to Schon's website here. I had such a long day yesterday at work, at least I was paid time and half, thank god for holiday pay!

Runway Monday: Street Smarts - Buckler Fall/Winter 2011-12 Review

This was one of the shows that I wish I saw when I was in New York last february. The British Designer, Andrew Buckler blocked off a whole block of SoHo for the show. Which was very fitting since street art was the inspiration for the collection. The Buckler Man is one of the guys that don't really wear anything eccentric but it has that "D@mn! He looks sharp!"make you do a double take . . . or at least I would. The color story for the collection as expected due to the fall/winter seasons is somber and well dark with a flash of yellows in the end. I love, love, love the belted waist coat. The knits were okay but not necessarily my favorite part of the show and this was solely based on the color tone. The suits as forecasted follows a more box-y cut but it was still refreshing that it stayed youthful. The best piece yet was probably the black shearling coat which fondly called "the black sheep" ah-mazing! And probably my least, least favorite was the hooded hillbilly jumper. I just didn't get it.

I had a great weekend and hopefully you did as well. It started with a chocolate and wine event on Friday at the Press Club in downtown San Francisco, then celebrated the Carnaval in the mission on Saturday, A little bit of retail therapy, hung out with my friends at Blackbird, a very chic bar on Market street that night. Overall my week vacation was filled with relaxation and pampering that I needed. In and out of the city. Thanks to all the guilty party. Now back to the grind, Happy Monday everybody!

America The Beautiful - Aiden Andrews, Ben Black, Charlie Westerberg, Christian Plauche, Jules Hamilton, Lawrence Stiers, Philip Kharabarin & RJ King by Sharif Hamza

VMAN is probably one of the magazines that I really like. One because the editorials are always interesting and they are always shot well. In this editorial that appears on the latest issue, Aiden Andrews, Ben Black, Charlie Westerberg, Christian Plauche, Jules Hamilton, Lawrence Stiers, Philip Kharabarin and RJ King caused a revolutionary riot in pieces by Marc Jacobs, Prada, Gucci, and Calvin Klein. styled by Jay Massacret and photographed by Sharif Hamza. Well for my fashionistos and fashionistas in the US of A Happy Memorial Day, let us not forget what the weekend is about while we drink ourselves to a stupor and eat Barbecue till we can't no more. And to the rest of the world, Happy Weekend, see you all on Monday!

It's In To Be Cool - Jon Kortajarena by Santiago Ruisenor

Like I'll say! In this editorial that appeared on Elle Man Mexico, Jon Kortajarena that's a mouthful modeled basic looks from Pull & Bear, D&G, Etro and Vivienne Westwood to name a few. Lensed by Santiago Ruisenor and outfitted by Daniela Rodriguez and Pamela Ocampo. I love the easy pieces and how each look is just perfect for summer. This week flew by real fast. I can't believe it's already Friday! Like they say, time flies by when you're having fun. Happy Friday my fashionistos and fashionistas!

Things That I Want . . . Part 4

I know it has been a while since I posted a "Things That I Want" was it because I didn't really want anything? Of course, not! There will always something that I would want. ALWAYS And this time? A cap no surprise there We've seen the veiled porkpie hats from the John Galliano Spring/Summer 2011 show last year. Since I still have a pre-conceived notion that San Francisco is not ready for dandy no matter how many dandies live in it. It's a little too much. As my friends would attest I'm a master of planning my outfits ahead of time in certain fashion events that I want to attend to and everyday life. Everything has to go according to plan or else (duhn-duhn-duhn). Unfortunately, I couldn't attend the show (vacation or show) and my outfit plan was scratched . . . for now. When I saw what this Paris-based artist did to a couple of new era flat caps? I was sold. Moji-Moji is amazing and a cap that I wanted also appeared on an editorial for the latest issue of Lash magazine (see my post from yesterday). Since the Summer shows are coming I doubt that I would plan to wear what I planned anytime soon, we will see.

Chromaticoast - Daniel Garofali by Exterface

The first leg of vaca, done! unpacked and repacking for the second leg. In the meantime, here's Australian Wilhelmina model Daniel Garofali photographed by Exterface for Lash Magazine. Actually it's the first time I've checked out the magazine and I love it. The shots were great and tres tres chic! The editorial was styled by Nicolas Chicanot with accessories and clothing from Thierry Mugler, Dsquared2, Givenchy, and Moji-Moji (which had the embellished black cap with the veil that I was going to buy for the fashion show, I decided not show up to because of scheduling conflict.) To me, I'm gonna say "it's Wednesday already?!" But to my fashionistos and fashionistas at work, Happy Hump Day!
