Color of Fall - Zac Taylor by Que Duong

If I miss/envy anything from the East coast, compared to living here in California is color during fall and the great shopping places  *ahem* New York?!. I mean even with San Francisco's micro climate we don't have four seasons. It's just an awesome transition. Last day of November and I still can't believe it!

Que Duong shoots and styles Zac Taylor for this editorial story with a befitting title, The Leaves Fall In November. I love the color and the clothes just fits the setting of a fall in New York.

Happy Hump Day, my fashionistos and fashionistas!

The Color Themed Holidays - Mitch by Mark Gong

Like most of the people that came back to work yesterday, It seems like the Thanksgiving weekend is always not long enough. Especially, I feel like I've eaten enough calories for the whole week to come, not like I was counting or anything. Not to mention, skipping the gym, not entirely my fault.

Over the weekend, I went to visit the parents because I didn't get to come home for Thanksgiving. Of course, my mother had the tree up and the whole house decorated. Color theme this year, Purple and white. Yep my mom has a "show" tree. That means it looks like that giant tree inside Neiman Marcus in downtown. Growing up, we never had an "American" Christmas tree meaning no homemade decors or explosion of everything and anything decor on the tree. My mom always decorate it, and themed, we all love it because it always looks amazing.

In today's editorial, Mitch of Avenue Management, models pieces by Raf Simons, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo and Kris Van Assche with the styling by Furqan Saini for photographer Mark Gong. The editorial with the title Night Hawk is shot for the latest issue of The Ones 2 Watch. If you've been reading my blog for a while you already know which pieces I love from this editorial.

Runway Monday: Dandy Goodness - Antonio Azzuolo Spring/Summer 2012 Review

I have most of my holiday looks complete. I still need to buy a plain white shirt with a windsor collar, I just need to find the time to buy it. I already know where to get it. If that doesn't work, my Givenchy white shirt will have to do. Over the weekend, I also bought a pair of meggings (look up: male leggings) (Givenchy, of course) Eventhough I could wear it as trousers I don't think I'm confident enough to walk around with just it. As weird as it sounds, it does feel disturbingly comfortable for something so tight.

Collection after collection, A.A. has been one of the few designers that I look forward on seeing. It is always interesting. A little playful but always consists of great looks and amazing tailoring. The drop crotch pants and shorts had a slight literal twist to it as it appears off-centered on the models, almost like a wrap.  I know I've said on my NYFW coverage that I didn't really like those pants but the more I see them, the more I like it. There are some great blazers in this collection as well. The color palette is very light and great for the spring/summer seasons. The bags eventhough ginormous is rather nice. Blazers with drop crotch shorts paired with simple black shoes and socks is definitely a look I will be sporting come spring.  Overall, the collection is a little different from A.A.'s previous collections because of a more slouchy, softer and baggier shapes on the pieces but it is not necessarily bad. I personally love it because it gave the rather regal collection a street styled feel to the looks.

On a side note, I'm kinda bummed that Antonio Azzuolo did not win this year's CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund but congratulations to Joseph Altuzzara, nonetheless.

Happy Monday, my fashionistos and fashionistas!

White Weekend - Mario Loncarski by Kosmas Pavlos

I had an amazing Thanksgiving dinner thanks to a friend who's an amazing cook. I believe he cooked almost half of the dishes in his party. We also finished numerous bottles of wine in the process. So my black friday shopping day turned to a recuperating day in bed and online shopping, yep the beauty of convenience.

Today I planned to pick up some of the accessories I originally planned to get yesterday. So it'll be a busy day of hunting.

Happy Weekend my fashionistos and fashionistas!

In this early spring editorial story that featured Mario Loncarski clad in white pieces from Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, and Zara. Photographed by Kosmas Pavlos and styled by Felix Leblhuber. Loved the all white pieces, eventhough it was a spring editorial, it reminded me of the Holidays for some reason.

Black Friday - Joe Flemming, Stas Svetlichny, Henry Evans, Zac & Jordan Stenmark by Michelle Beatty

After the eating and the drinking, the shopping begins! There are some great sales in downtown. The thing is, would I be awake by then. With some even open at midnight till the wee hours of the morning. To tell you the truth I already own some of the key pieces for my holiday looks. I just need to buy little accessories to complete this looks. Everybody knows it's the accessories that make or break the outfit. Ready. Get Set. Shop!

Married To The Mob appears on the fifth issue of Client Magazine. Joe Flemming, Stas Svetlichny, Henry Evans and the Stenmark twins Zac and Jordan are all members of the mob with the great styling by Abena Ofei and photography by Michelle Beatty. The boys are shot wearing pieces by DKNY, Boss Black, Tom Ford and Ralph Lauren. I love the picture when all the boys are wearing different types of white button downs and black trousers, Classic!

Happy (black, for my fellow American consumers)  Friday my fashionistos and fashionistas!

Much To Be Thankful For - Thanksgiving 2011

I have a lot to be thankful this year. The great people I met this year, my new and old friends alike, rekindled friendships and catching up with cousins I haven't seen in more than a year or two. Thank you for the wonderful memories and support that you have given me. I'm thankful that I have given the chance to attend amazing fashion shows both locally and nationally. My parents and my family for just being there for me, unconditionally. Last but definitely not the least, my fashionistos and fashionistas all around the world. Thank you for the support and for being a great inspiration.

I will be attending a friend's Thanksgiving party tonight, I enjoyed hosting my very first formal Thanksgiving last year but I decided not to throw one this year.  Unfortunately I'm way too busy to put together a dinner party this time of the year. Maybe next year. Maybe.

I will be wearing my Versace for H&M shirt either paired with my Dior Homme wrap-around cardigan or  my blue Drykorn blazer with some simple black jeans and one of my dressy shoes.

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Americans! Gobble Gobble!

Reality Check - Helge Gjerstad & Marcos F by David Wang

I know that in this day and age, sharing your thoughts, experiences and beliefs to others are far more easier than ever before through the use of social networking sites. So it is also much easier to overshare information to your friends. I get it if it's a tongue-in cheek joke but there are things that sometimes are just left unsaid. I mean congratulations that you're getting laid but I don't really need to know that. As I joked recently to a friend, "thanks to Facebook, I now know who among my friends are cray-cray or has the potential of being one." But it is not always bad of course, there are those moments that I'm really thankful for social networking sites. I guess in the end these T.M.I.'s are just necessary evil.

Greater Than Gatsby appears on Kenton Magazine. The editorial features models Helge Gjerstad and Marcos F in great dapper pieces by Marlon Gobel, Ben Sherman, Billy Reid, and Carlos Campos to name a few. With great styling by Michael Cook and photography  by David Wang.

It's Wednesday, most of us are already off for the long weekend because tomorrow's Thanksgiving but if you're not well, Happy Hump day!
