Dandy Debonair - Julian Schratter by Billy Winters

Billy Winters and Wilhelmina model Julian Schratter reunites this time for an editorial for Chaos mag. Dandy is probably is an understatement with the looks that were featured in this shoot but I do love the bow ties. The looks featured includes pieces from Calvin Klein, Billy Reid, Etro, Versace among others. Styled by Pauline Montupet. Friday is here and even though it will be a hectic weekend, it's the weekend nonetheless.

Trend Thursdays: Don't Touch My Weave!!!

Gilded Age S/S 2011

Okay, I know we saw a few weaves in last year's Spring/Summer shows (i.e. the basket weave sweater from the Dolce & Gabbana show? I love that one!) but more importantly we saw a few of these piece as well. I'm talking about the woven belt. I think the first time I saw this trend in the past was on my very stylish Aunt (who now lives in Italy). I believe she has sparked my interest to pursue looking dapper at all times at an early age, as she did. Back to the belt . . . most of the time a general rule of thumb is that you USUALLY match your belt to the color of your shoes, but with with a woven belt, you don't have to.  Another handsome aspect of the belt is that it gives you a laid back, "I know what I'm doing" je ne sais quoi to your outfit. Get it a little bigger so you can loop it around as a finishing touch. And while I was researching for this piece a famous men's magazine actually said, "buy it bigger so you don't have to worry if your waistline expands." That made me laugh but sad at the same time. FYI, I am aware that some of the pictures below are rather sub par but if you follow the links for these belts you can zoom in on them and see the detail especially the Kris Van Assche one.

Waiting - Reid Prebenda By Anthony Maule

Details magazine featured Wilhelmina model Reid Prebenda on this editorial that featured spring/summer suitings from the likes of Dior Homme to Salvatore Ferragamo. As you can see, no socks for the warmer seasons is quite fine. The shoot was styled by Benjamin Sturgill and shot by Anthony Maule. It's Wednesday everybody. Happy Hump Day!

Nine to Five and Sometimes Six - Tom Lander by Nik Hartley

This editorial appeared on Varon Magazine entitled Working Class where Select model Tom Lander was photographed by Nik Hartley in pieces by John Varvatos, Prada, Roberto Cavalli, Lanvin, and "working man" shoes Dr. Martens. The styles are scrimped up by Hugo Lavin. I just love how everything looked clean and very streamlined. Nothing over the top. For some reason, I kinda like the look with mini skirt/trousers by Lou Dalton and shirt by Percival. That grabbed my attention and that's how you know you made a successful styling, when the eyes gravitate to a look without even trying.

**Speaking of working nine to five I apologize that yesterday's entry post was well non-existent I put in the wrong date, no bueno at all . . . so the runway review will have to wait till next Monday. Well on the bright side it's Tuesday that means you survived le dreaded Monday!

Romantic Opulence - Tom Warren by LaRoache Brothers

This great editorial that features Tom Warren appeared on Glass, a UK based mag. He was styled with pieces from Vivienne Westwood, Tom Ford, Burberry Prorsum (how can I miss that trench?!), Lanvin and many more great designers. I love the dark feel for the editorial that was shot by the LaRoache Brothers and great styling by Darren Knight. Okay It's Saturday my fashionistos and fashionistas, I'll see you all on Monday!

Hot Commodity - Jamie Dornan by Cuneyt Akeroglu

It seems like Jamie Dornan is everywhere. He landed a few campaigns like Zara Man, Desigual and Banana Republic and appeared at numerous editorial, some I featured here and with this latest one that appeared at the Wonderland magazine along side Jessica Stam (not included at this post for obvious reasons) and styled by Grace Cobb. I love the textured dinner jacket and the jean shirts are not bad but I haven't worn one since I was kid but it looks like its making a comeback for the spring/summer seasons. On a side note? Happy April Fools Day!!!
