The weekend is here! I need this to recuperate my feet. So what do I do? I go out with friends till the wee hours of the morning, dancing . . . in leather sneakers. I mean they look nice, but they are far from the most comfortable shoes that I own. Come to think of it, out of all the shoes I own probably two are genuinely comfortable to wear. The others are just fashion statements. hastag fashion problems.

Well as I'm writing this, it's turning out to be a really nice day in the city. I might enjoy it relaxing at the country side by the pool. Well after my early Saturday morning Skype session with the Bubs.

We close the week with an editorial that appears on the newest issue of one of my favorite men's fashion magazine, Essential Homme. As the exotic Marrakech as the background, Giovanni Squatriti photographs the English model, Harry Goodwins donning coveted pieces from the Spring/Summer offerings of Givenchy, Versace, Saint Laurent Paris (okay that's weird to type), and Dolce & Gabbana among others. Gioele Panedda did a great job at putting together the looks especially breaking apart the Givenchy looks and mixing it with something else.

I have a week left and I'll be in Rio! SO EXCITED! . . . and I get to see the Bubs as well. Here's what people are asking me. Are you going to be sleeping at the beach? Maybe. Are you going to take lots of pictures? Probably, eventhough I hate taking pictures of myself, I do Instagram a bit. At least that way I can avoid taking selfies like people I know. *ahem* *ahem*  I use instagram to share my daily life and not take gazzilion pictures of myself. But hey to each his own. I digress.

Eventhough this week has been trying in terms of my general health. I'm finally getting over of my head cold and the slight stinging of my hand due to a hot water burn is also subsiding. I just wonder if it'll leave a mark. Ugh, hashtag first world problems. Now that everything is looking up, I have a swollen toe due to an injury from a long time ago. Well of course, why not.

But I'm surprised that I'm still pushing myself to trim down for my trip. I've been eating clean with only a few cheat days from a few months. The gym schedule is also tight and I have not skipped a session. It's Brazil for crying out loud. The land where the most beautiful models come from. Now if that's dedication, I don't know what that is, insanity? Perhaps.

In today's editorial post, I have another great one with Ben Eidem as he appears on the May issue of GQ Espania/Spain. The very casual editorial is shot by the talented Sergi Pons with this beautiful home as a backdrop. Joana de la Fuente puts together a very laidback, striped Spring/Summer-y looks by Dolce & Gabbana, Salvatore Ferragamo, Burberry Brit and Hermes to name a few.

Bow Down, You Punk! - Benjamin Eidem & Jesse Shannon by Arnaldo Anaya Lucca

So the MET gala was last night, the fashion Oscars. It was interesting to see how the elite interpret the theme of the exhibit which was the punk movement with the title Chaos To Couture. Some were on point while the others missed the mark big time by just going glam and the rest were just plain confused. But the highlight was when Beyonce arrived, they actually cleared out the steps. Yes. ma'am! Bow Down b*tches, the queen has arrived! I love the pissed off look on JLo's face.I can't wait to see the exhibit when I come to visit New York sometime in the summer.

In other news, I guess it was about that time again, San Francisco's ever changing micro climates. So another head cold came knocking again. But hey I had nobody to blame but myself. I was the one who went out with a friend and not bring a jacket or anything when it got cooler Thursday night last week. So I'm actually doing everything I could do to let this cold pass before my trip to Rio.

Speaking of bowing down, In today's editorial post we have top British model Benjamin Eidem for yet another cover story. Arnaldo Anaya Lucca photographed Ben with Jesse Shannon for the story, King Ben In The Dark Kingdom that appeared on the newest issue of ODDA magazine. Kareem James had the boys donning great edgy pieces by Kris Van Assche, Ports 1961, and John Galliano and accessories were mostly by Mordekai by Ken Borochov. Love it.

This single editorial made me second guess my outfit for my other niece's christening which I'm the Godfather as well. No I was not thinking of wearing a crown which I could but I was more thinking of the short sleeve white shirt with the black leather lapel and a big belt.

The Angel Wears Givenchy - Jason Morgan & Nate Nesbitt by Brent Chua

If there's something that's bothering me right now is the fact that sometimes work gets to me. Not specifically the work load, but more with the people I work with. Of course I have to be professional, I only make snide comments when I know I can get away. I'm half kidding. I'm not saying that I work with stupid people but I do have higher standards with people. Working at two levels with two different groups of people help me to balance out how I tend to work with people. Eventhough that sometimes I slip and tend to be cut throat.

Well honestly, I never really said I'm an angel nor do I pretend to be one. I just usually tell it how I see it. Life is way too short to walk on eggshells.

We close the week with Soul soldiers Jason Morgan and Nate Nesbitt as they appear in an all white affair for the April issue of Manifesto magazine. Brent Chua photographs the two men while Jonathan Yee puts together looks in this simple yet very dramatic and beautiful editorial. I love this story and no, not because of the Givenchy pieces (eventhough I do love the chosen pieces) but how its simplicity makes it dramatic. 

Countdown - Elia Cometti, Fabricio Bach & Lucas Mascarini by Ryan Jerome

Everything is set and I'm counting down the days till RIO! I love that lately we've been having some great weather in San Francisco. Too bad that my days are getting booked by work, more work and the gym. I know exciting but that doesn't mean I'm sacrificing my social life. It just means I have to pick and choose carefully which events I attend. I wish I can clone myself so I can do multiple things at once. I know that I should get used to it by now but sometimes as much I love Skyping with the Bubs we feel guilty that we are spending so much time on it rather than letting the other person socialize or do something else. At the same time, I hate that I don't have the Bubs as my +1 to events. It gets old when I have to listen to how great other people's significant other standing next to them while I smile, tilt my head to one side and blink slowly.

I still can't believe it's already May! Rio fashion week just went by and soon enough the menswear Milanese and Parisian circuits will begin.

In today's editorial piece, we have a project shot by photographer, Ryan Jerome, for Glamaholic magazine.  Elia Cometti, Fabricio Bach and Lucas Mascarini frolic at the beach for an Italian Summer inspired shoot. Alba Melendo and Giulia Ferrazzi style the boys with prints and colors by high fashion houses like Frankie Morello, Kenzo, Dirk Bikkemberg, and Hermes to name a few.
