Single Man - Eian Scully by Greg Vaughan

I know I had a Carrie moment the other night when, my ex New York/ES gave me a call. What seemed to be a harmless "how are you? / where are you staying for New York Fashion Week, stay with me" call turned to a "why did we break up? / no it wasn't you, it was me" dramaganza. I really wish I can say that it didn't really affected me but it did got me questioning my judgement. I really thought I was over New York but sure enough I was back on page one every time my cell rang with that New York number. Vicious cycle, I tell ya. I know, I know not fair to the one I'm sorta-kinda seeing right now but it does show how fragile the situation was.

The life of a bachelor.

In today's editorial, we have the amazing Eian Scully as photographed by Greg Vaughan. A Single Man appeared on the pages of Haute Living released this month. The editorial was styled by Gregory Wein with lush and rich suit pieces by Dolce & Gabbana, and Tom Ford to name two. I'm really happy for him for booking all this great jobs lately.

The Irony, really.

One Day More - Jake Andrews by Joe Lally

First and foremost, I apologize that I haven't blogged regularly lately. The new job and other events lately had been taking my time. On Saturday, on its final weekend in San Francisco, I finally saw the 25th anniversary production of Les Miserables. It was all I hoped for and more. I'm really glad I took the time to see it with my sister.

So overall the last couple of days were a good balance of working and socializing with the family and with friends. Eventhough there was a minor snag with a major price tag to what seemed a great weekend . .  owning and maintaining a car can be so expensive.

But as they say one day more, Happy Hump Day my fashionistos and fashionistas!

In today's editorial post, we have Jake Andrews as photographed by Joe Lally that appeared on the latest issue of the british magazine, Client magazine. John Tan styled Andrews in pieces by one of my favorite New York based designers, the great Marlon Gobel. All pieces were from the designer's Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

Hesitations and Frustrations - Simon Van Meervenne by Tiziano Magni

This week went by so fast. I still can't believe it's already Thursday! I'm excited that I'm starting at my new job soon but a little sad that I wont be able to attend some of the shows that I originally was attending for New York Fashion Week. Sad Face. I sorta expected it really

Yesterday afternoon, while speaking to this person I'm sorta seeing, they brought up the fact that we had been seeing each other for a while now and asked me if that meant we're in a relationship. I panicked and said no for the fact that one, I'm not really ready a relationship AGAIN and two, I'm thought it was because it was probably the wrong person.  Like I said, if it was real, I wont even have to hesitate. I know this sounded like cold feet but hey, I am anxious about seeing New York in New York.

In today's editorial we have up and coming model Simon Van Meervenne as photopraphed by Tiziano Magni for Numero Homme China's fifth issue. The editorial was styled by Joseph Carle with awesome period-esque pieces from Dolce & Gabbana, Givenchy, Hermes and Tom Ford to name a few.

I've been wanting to buy some militaryesque high boots and Simon looked great on those Hermes! I just love how this editorial looked.

Work Hard And Play Harder - Jacob Coupe, Peter Bruder & Samuel Tingman by Chad Pickard & Paul McLean

Over the weekend, my friends and I went to a Casino up north for free . . . relatively speaking. I'm not a big gambler but I do enjoy the slot machines, brainless fun and all; Especially the new ones with their 3-D graphics and special effects. Out of all my friends I was the only one who actually won something and in the first thirty minutes that we were there and the first machine I played. My Mum always thought I was lucky with these sort of things. So as part of my Collecting of Good Karma I shared my winnings with one of my partner-in-crime, which he lost half of it. It was alright. It was all for good fun.

BUT since we also planned to spend the afternoon at the Casino's pool, we found out that the resort had a Sundays pool party that we didn't know about. So basically it was like MTV Spring Break circa 1990 but held in the middle of nowhere greater Sacramento area. Disturbing.

In other news, my partner-in-crime as of late starts teaching at his new school today, yesterday was our last day of lazy Summer afternoon at the park and day trips. How I would miss those days. Le sigh. I guess I just have to keep myself busy with other things . . . like work.

In today's editorial, Chad Pickard & Paul McLean photographed what would a whole day look from a dapper city man for the British GQ's September issue's GQ Essentials. Jacob Coupe, Peter Bruder and Samuel Tingman  were styled by Jessica Punter with great pieces from the collections of houses like Tom Ford, Louis Vuitton, Lanvin and Prada to name some.

Summer Fling - Nicklas Kingo & Morten Rex by Nielsen Omvik

To be completely honest, I haven't really gauged the year by when school starts but since one of my close friends is a teacher, it is pretty much unavoidable. Especially working in fashion, where I'm always usually six months to a year ahead of the current season. The school year hasn't really been on my radar for while.

To be quite frank though, I had one of the best summers I've had in a while. A little traveling, a lot of hanging out and exploring neighboring cities. Not to mention a lot of manual labor helping a friend with his house projects. I know stocking up on those good karma points. It's just now I will have, once again, would have a lot of free time. Le sigh.

It's almost like a summer fling. It was fast, fun and fulfilling. Changes are indeed coming this new season.

I'm starting at the new company soon, so I'm pretty excited about that. I think the move back to what I know best, Menswear, is what I really need. As much as I love what I'm doing now. Comfy will always be good.

Happy Friday, everybody!

In today's editorial we have Nicklas Kingo and Morten Rex for the newest issue of Bon Magazine. Go West is lensed by Nielsen Omvik and styled by Julie von Hofsten with pieces from Prada's fall/winter 2012 collection.
With editorials like this featuring some of my favorite collections make me excited for the fall/winter seasons.

Short And Sweet - Holden Nowell by Marco Falcetta

Eventhough I said that I will have a very short hectic week last Monday, I feel like that I haven't really done any work that I needed to do before the weekend. I mean I have sent all the necessary work emails that I needed to sent out but the hectic week is not quite that hectic. I know I have a few events going on over the weekend and not to mention a friend from Yuma, Arizona would be visiting town for a week. All I know is that I'm not even going to bother to check my work email by Thursday afternoon . . . no matter how tempting it would be. I have to get to the habit to "clock out" of work really.

The countdown for the two major trade shows I'm attending and for New York Fashion Week continues but I haven't really finalize my schedule. I know very last minute.

Happy Hump Day, my fashionistos and fashionistas!

In today's editorial, we have Holden Nowell as photographed by Marco Falcetta for the fourth issue of Homme Style's Un Homme Nu De Luxe. Giuseppe Ceccarelli styles Nowell with pieces by Louis Vuitton, Tom Ford, Prada, and Fankie Morello to name a few.
