fur Real - An Homage by Julian Laidig

In this editorial that appeared on the new magazine, Hole. Julian Laidig paid an homage to Mario Testino's Fur Men that appeared on Vogue Homme International Spring/Summer 2008, entitled The Boys We Love.  The editorial was styled by Yoan Gonfond. Stefan Podany, Constantin Simon, David Haas, Mogomed Dadakev, and Marcel donned fur pieces. I have mix feelings about fur. I like how they feel and they look so nice but at the same time I know how they are made. BUT AT THE SAME TIME, if you are gonna be wearing a faux fur look, make sure it does not look cheap or don't even bother.

Mad Men inspired? (again?) - Lars Burmeister & Eugene Bauder by Margaretha Olschewski

Burmeister and Bauder (along with Hannah Davis and Nicole Trufino)  was outfitted with the new pieces from Amisu and Smog. Photographed by Margaretha Olschewski for the New Yorker and styled by Marion Fuchs, Julia Briethbarth, Sebastian Bristow, Julia Bentlage, and Kathrin Bieberuntertutz. I know its not really Mad men inspired but it does remind me of the show. I love the horn rimmed glasses look and the tuxedo looks good as well. Three more days till Christmas, hope everybody's done with their shopping (I'm not -sigh-).

Leap! Damn it! LEAP! - Andres Matiz by Munster

For some reason leaping pictorials look so cool to me. In this editorial that appeared on Designare Homme, Andres Matiz leaps for Munster wearing pieces from English brand, Dunhill; styled by Jumius Wong. I do love Dunhill's Fall/Winter collection this year. I think it's very dapper and dandy all around.

Things That I Want But Couldn't Afford . . . YET: Part 3

So the Holidays is the season that I believe that most dinner jackets are worn, besides weddings on June, I guess.  When you're a working individual, like myself. You would probably own a couple of dinner jackets and if you do not? Shame on you! Just Kidding, but like I said on my previous posts about blazers. By the time you're in your mid-20s a young man should own one, at least. And now that I'm planning my new years eve outfit. I decided to wear a two tone dinner jacket. A look that I have seen at the D&G fall/winter line. The blazer is actually on sale from $675 to $405 which is not bad at all but for those who are not on a tight budget. H&M has a two tone blazer for $75 for their fall line. I know, I know I'm not gonna wear that jacket at a real black tie event but it will do if you just want to look sharp at a NYE party without cashing out half of your paycheck.

Luxe for the Holidays - Michael Gstoettner by Stefano Moro

Stefano Moro photographed Michael Gstoettner for Carlo Pignatelli's Fall/Winter collection. The Holidays is just around the corner and I know most fashionisto's Tuxedo jackets are working over time, I know mine is. Gstoettner looked so sharp in these line up, it can cut ya. 

Lies, Murder, and Fashion - Drykorn Fall/Winter 2010/2011 lookbook

I was going to post the Drykorn Spring/Summer 2011 lookbook but I decided to post the fall/winter one first. Well as all of you will see, not only the styling look handsome, but the set design and was really chic. I love all the tuxedo jackets and that very dandy bow tie. I wish they would open a store here in the west coast soon. I think European men are so lucky in terms of fashion. Most fashion houses are based  over there. (sigh).
