Skater Punk - Galliano Spring/Summer Lookbook 2011

I apologize that I haven't been posting. I was temporarily distracted, but I'm back! With the Milan and Paris  men's fashion week just around the corner, I'm preparing myself for some amazing shows. I had my favorites in the past and discovered love for new names as well but this would have just to wait for another day. On to the show . . .
John Galliano's sophomore line up, Galliano was inspired by the Skater Punk culture of the youth. I like the bold colors and the boots are nice. But sometimes it's unnerving to see it next to the women's line which of course and as usual more dramatic than the men's line. Francisco Lachowski and Jacquelyn Jablonksi modeled the looks.

Rainer Iverson appeared on the GQ Espanol heading and spending time at the beach outfitted by Joana de la Fuente with handsome pieces from Burberry Prorsum, H&M, Tommy Hilfiger, and Diesel. Photographed by Gonzalo Machado. Everybody thinks that California is always sunny and warm. Well, maybe there's some truh to that. I did spend some time at the beach a week before the Thanksgiving Day.

Accessorize Yourself - Naleye Junior by Anthony Meyer

The editorial appeared on the black and white issue of Fiasco and featured model, Naleye Junior and photographed by Anthony Meyer was pretty amazing. Styled by Andrea Tatikian with accessories  from Vivienne Westwood, John Galliano,  and Lanvin to name the most obvious ones and of course that Christophe Coppens hat. Accessories and Men's fashion can be a little tricky. Most guys don't really think about accessorizing their outfits, in fact to some? It is unheard of. But to fashionistos, accessories can make or break an outfit. Accessorizing an outfit gives you also that edge when in that, god forbids, day when somebody else is wearing the same piece of clothing that you are wearing comes. It's Friday, happy weekend to all, eventhough I'm feeling under the weather. No Bueno.

Country Fashion - Chris Doe, Oliver Cheshire & Ashley Radcliff by Charl Marais

Okay, who knew farm boys can be so fashionable, no? In this editorial that was taken by the wonderful, Charl Marais for the magazine, 7th Man. Chris Doe, Oliver Cheshire & Ashley Radcliff channeled their inner country boy (?)  and got dirty. Outfitted by Kenny Ho. The clothes are great, easy and rugged but I think the shoes in this editorial took the main stage. Then again, I just probably love shoes too much.

Military We love thee - Leo Vlasik by Milan Vukmirovic

I think It's official that Military inspired look is probably going to be in fashion no matter what season it is. Not that I'm complaining, I love military inspired pieces, just don't get overboard. As this very handsome editorial that appeared on L'Optimum magazine will attest, The Military look when done right looks good. Photographed by Milan Vukmirovic with d'management model Leo Vlasik and styled by Romain Vallos with great pieces from D&G, Gucci, Lacoste, Polo Ralph Lauren and Jewelry from Tiffany's.
