Festive vs Formal - Sean O'Pry by Arnaldo Anaya Lucca

While in the midst of a minor fashion emergency yesterday. Meaning, one of the pieces that I wanted when I was in New York a few weeks ago was not available here in the West coast. So I had New York/ES go to the store to check. Of course, they only have larges left. As much I love oversized knitted sweaters right now. An oversize jacket wont be cute.

That brought me to this conundrum. We all know that December would be the month of Holiday parties. Parties meant outfits and outfits meant festive . . . or was it formal. Was there a difference between the two? Black Tie to me would never be festive and a bright colored blazer wont be appropriate for a Black Tie event. But nowadays, the line between the two was becoming more of a blur with high fashion houses pushing the limits of the norm. So however you spend and wear for your holiday parties, do it fashionably.

We close the week with a cover story editorial with top model Sean O'Pry for the fifth issue of DSection. Photographed by Arnaldo Anaya Lucca for this quite festive editorial perfect for the season.  Sean O'Pry was styled by Joseph Episcopo with pieces by Alexander McQueen, Prada, Versace and Marc by Marc Jacobs.
