It's Just Another New Year's Eve - Farewell, 2013!

And another year has come and went. Le sigh. In reflection of the past year, I thought, it was a good year. Eventhough these days, it felt like it wasn't. But I had to keep reminding myself to breath and to take each day in graceful strides at this point.

2013 was a big travel year for me. I think I racked up miles this year than any year of my young adult life. From the usual suspects like New York, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Burlington, Vermont to a camping trip up in the Redwoods. But the cherry on top of my travel cake was my trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil back in May. Scratching that from my bucket list. Never have I ever missed those caipirinhas!

Due to the fact that I was traveling heavily, this was the first year that I skipped a whole season of Mercedez Benz New York fashion week. Consequently, this was also the year that I got invited to the most shows and installations. For that I thank every designers and PR people who invited to the every show and every after parties. Thank You from the bottom of my heart.

2013 was also full of wonderful surprises and gift filled. This year, for my birthday my parents finally bought me my Togo Hermes Birkin bag. I also became officially and legally, Mr. S-T.

But this year also brought a few heart breaking moments. I lost two of my grandparents almost around the same time and this was also the year that I'm concluding a chapter in my life.

The last leg of this year was a big wake up call for me. It practically thought me that I should never take everything for granted.

But at this moment, I'm at peace with our decision. Not easy but it has to be done. So goodbye for now. We'll be just fine.

I'm closing today's post with quote by, author, Sonia Ricotti which I thought was appropriate not  only because of my situation but for the closing year as well,

Surrender to what is. Let go of what was. Have faith in what will be.

Have a safe, yet fun New Year's Eve celebration, everyone!

HMMM . . . That picture reminds me of a dinner that happened recently. Awkward.

Say Something - Baptiste Giannesini by Rick Day

The funny thing about this Christmas, I didn't really wanted anything this year but to get some things as they were. Well, I meant besides that my nieces to be happy, of course.  Sometimes it feels like putting back a broken mirror. No matter how perfect you had put it back the cracks will show. Sort of like the same feeling like I am screaming in a crowded room and nobody could seem to hear me. To those who recognized it, Thank You. The funny thing, these hugs came from parties that I least expected it.

Human compassion without turning things to their own benefit or issues. I'm giving myself leeway to deal with the situation till after the Holidays. I don't have the time to deal with this right now.

Well, hopefully everybody got what they really wanted for Christmas.

In today's post, Baptiste Giannesini grazed the pages of L'Altro Uomo book. The fashion story was shot by the famed photographer Rick Day. Giannesini of RED Models was styled by Giorgio Ammirabile with pieces by Perry Ellis, Byblos, Carlo Pignatelli, and Eton to name a few.

Just For Now - Justin Hopwood by Bell Soto

Being sick sucks, this sinus situation is really annoying me. Why don't we add the fact that I have to fill my mind with this "parting" situation. Being an adult sucks. Ultimately, I know this is for the best. If only I could tell my subconscious to stop thinking and go back to sleep and stay asleep because it's 3AM right now! I guess I could go shopping online. . . . that's a thought. Just keep myself busy and keep reminding myself that I wanted this. Three years of memories are what they are . . . memories. Be strong and shine.

The final stretch to Christmas.

Today, we have Soul Artist Management talent, Justin Hopwood as photographed by Bell Soto for Risbel Magazine. Hopwood dons blue hued fashions by Levi's styled by Seth Howard.

Speaking of memories this reminded me of someone three years ago waiting around Sushi of Gari on 46th. As I'm finishing my fashion shows for that day.

Only Need The Sun When It Starts To Snow - Alfred Kovac by Eniko Szucs

There are times when I think about my life, and for the past two days I've been doing that a lot. Generally, I'm happy with it. I could make some changes to make it better, if I will be honest. Thing with life, you will never really know what might tomorrow bring. Either that or we already knew what was happening and we just ignore it. Is it human nature to be optimistic? I mean I always thought I'm pessimistic but I guess when we love somebody we tend to forgive a lot of things.

I made some drastic decisions that will probably throw my life into limbo. But I do firmly believe that it will be best for both parties involved. Not an easy decision but somebody needs to call bullsh*t when they see it. If to ere is human so is being vindictive.

Regardless, have a wonderful weekend my fashionistos and fashionistas!

Today's post features Alfred Kovac appears on the pages of Elle Hungary as photographed by Eniko Szucs. Cameron Carpenter styles Kovac in pieces by Alexander Wang, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and that Guissepe Zanotti pair.

The worst thing about being with a New York model every time I see New York and well literally see models from the same agency, it just reminds me of said person. It sucks. No wonder Taylor Swift writes those songs about her exes.

Frozen - Steffen Norgaard by Diego Merino

It was no secret that my fellow San Franciscans and I and oh yeah and those pretentious Los Angelians had one of the coldest days here in California to date this year. I just thought it was an excuse to wear scarves , gloves and coats. But, alas, it still made me sick. So much for all the knits, cashmeres, wool and leather and what good it did me. But nobody got time fo dat! Busy, busy, busy days at work and I have a number of Holiday parties to attend to.

Hydrate, rest get enough some sleep, and get going. Life does not wait for no one.

In today's post, we have a beautiful outdoorsy photo story taken by Diego Merino for How To Spend It, Financial Times. It featured the bearded model, Steffen Norgaard at NEVS models. The shoot was styled by Damian Foxe with amazing fur pieces and that poncho by Luis Vuitton.

I'm not going to lie, It made want to buy that poncho.

Y.A.L.A. - Sebastian Sauve by Andoni & Arantxa

Nights like this that I haven't written anything on my blog for a whole week, I wonder how I managed to work, travel, go to the gym, maintain a social life, be in a relationship and write on my blog EVERYDAY. I just don't know anymore. It seemed like this year I barely have enough time in the day for basic things like relaxing or preparing dinner. But I'm not complaining though, this year had been a blast for me. All part of the life of a fashionisto.

I hope everybody had a good Holiday weekend filled with food, booze and of course, shopping.

Today's editorial appeared on the Luisa Via Roma website, one of my favorite online store to shop. It featured top male model, Sebastian Sauve of Soul Artist Management (NY) as photographed by the duo Andoni and Arantxa. Carmel Imelda Walsh styled Sauve with high fashion streetwear inspired pieces by Kenzo, Givenchy, KTZ, Dsquared and Saint Laurent.

The Way You Look Tonight - Heath Hutchins by Chiun-Kai Shih

Over the weekend, the Bubs and I had an opportunity to play house. My housemates were not home during our anniversary weekend. Not planned but I wasn't complaining. Great music, two bottles of Veuve Clicquot, a crackling fireplace and one Hollywood screen kiss while "The Way You Look Tonight" plays on the background. Perfection.

Hopefully, everybody had an amazing weekend as I did.

Note to self: My tub barely holds two people without making a big wet mess.

Today, we have an editorial that appeared on the pages of He-Man magazine featuring New York Models talent, Heath Hutchins. The fashion story was shot by Chiun-Kai Shih and styled by Giorgio Ammirabile. The shoot featured fashions by Lacoste, Carlo Pignatelli, Marni and Byblos to name a few.
